چکیده

The recovery of metal(loid)s from municipal solid waste (MSW) samples <10 years old and >10 was investigated using a series pH-dependence leaching batch tests ranging between pH 2 10. Further to this, the influences various parameters, including depth, humic acid (HA) concentrations on Li, Al, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Pb, Hg were investigated. Visual MINTEQ geochemical software then used model release in presence different HA 28 mg/L 100 mg/L, which can be found landfill sites results showed that amount are range 0.03–0.14 0.65–83.33 0.01–0.19 0.18–18.17 0.01–0.09 0.06–0.38 0.12–5.2 0.14–11.57 0.02–0.10 0.00–26.17 0.03–25.17 0.00–0.01 with deionised water as leachant at pH. relatively increased 0 2% 48–55 m compared 3–9 MSW landfill. promote rate metals an appropriate amount. Municipal Solid Waste Landfills Harbor Distinct Microbiomes

Landfills are the final repository for most of the discarded material from human society and its "built environments." Microorganisms subsequently degrade this discarded material in the landfill, releasing gases (largely CH4 and CO2) and a complex mixture of soluble chemical compounds in leachate. Characterization of "landfill microbiomes" and their comparison across several landfills should al...

Heat Generation in Municipal Solid Waste Landfills

This study was conducted to investigate thermal aspects of municipal solid waste landfills as a function of operational conditions and climatic region. Spatial and temporal distributions of waste temperatures were determined at four landfills located in North America Michigan, New Mexico, Alaska, and British Columbia. Temperatures of wastes at shallow depths extending to 6 to 8 m depth and ...

Aluminum Reactions and Problems in Municipal Solid Waste Landfills

Aluminum enters municipal solid waste MSW landfills from untreated raw curbside trash MSW , industrial waste, and aluminum production wastes variously called dross, baghouse fines, salt cake, and other designations. Aluminum related reactions can arise and become problematic for landfill operations by generating undesirable heat, liquid leachate, and gases, such as hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, c...
